The Altamont Enterprise has been a print shop for most of its 140-year history. We printed our own newspaper for the first 90 years on presses that now belong in museums — and one of them, a Heidelberg Windmill, is still running in our shop today. We pair that letterpress tradition with a production-grade Ricoh digital press capable of running the same stock and color quality you’d expect from a commercial print house in any major city.
We are a small shop. We answer the phone. We fix mistakes. We ship UPS and FedEx Monday through Friday, and every dollar you spend on printing goes directly toward funding the Altamont Enterprise’s newsroom and reporting staff.
What We Print
Letterpress — Invitations, Stationery, Business Cards
Our Heidelberg Windmill 10×15 is a working platen letterpress that has been printing since the mid-20th century. We use it to produce deep-impression letterpress printing on cotton paper: wedding invitations and full suites, save-the-dates, stationery, business cards, notecards, and holiday cards.
Letterpress printing creates a tactile impression — the ink is pressed into the paper, not just onto it. The result is something you can feel with your fingertips. It is the reason couples who have seen a letterpress invitation will not settle for flat digital printing for their own wedding.
We print on 100% cotton stocks including Crane Lettra in 110lb and 220lb. We can print 1 or 2 colors per pass. Foil stamping and blind embossing are available on request.

Booklets, Programs & Saddle-Stitch Printing
Our Ricoh Pro C7210SX prints and finishes saddle-stitch booklets in a single pass — full color, up to 360gsm cover stock, trimmed and ready to hand out. No separate bindery step. No minimum run requirement that prices out small organizations.
We print booklets and programs for churches, schools, theater companies, athletic programs, conferences, memorial services, nonprofits, and small businesses. If you need 50 copies or 500, we can turn it around fast.
Common formats: 5.5 x 8.5 inches (half-letter), 8.5 x 11 inches, and custom sizes on request. Page counts from 8 to 80 pages.
Booklets are right for you if: You need a professional, finished, color booklet — a church program, a gala program, a school play playbill, a nonprofit annual report — without paying offset prices or waiting two weeks.

EDDM Postcards & Direct Mail
Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) lets you reach every household on a mail carrier route without a mailing list. It is the most cost-effective way for local businesses — restaurants, real estate agents, service providers, political campaigns — to saturate a neighborhood with a printed message.
We offer complete EDDM service: design assistance, printing on heavy card stock, tabbing with our Accufast tabber, and drop-off at the post office. We ship completed, mail-ready EDDM orders Monday through Friday.
Standard EDDM postcard sizes: 6.5 x 9 inches (most popular), 8.5 x 11 inches, 4.25 x 14 inches. Minimum run: 200 pieces. Bulk pricing available.
EDDM is right for you if: You want to reach every home in a specific neighborhood or zip code without buying a mailing list — restaurants announcing a new location, real estate agents farming a neighborhood, service businesses launching in a new area.

Brochures, Flyers & Marketing Collateral
Full-color brochures on gloss or matte coated stock, trifolds, rack cards, and flyers. We fold in-house on our Baum folder — no extra step, no extra wait.
Common formats: 8.5×11 trifold, 8.5×14 trifold, 4×9 rack card, 8.5×11 flyer, 11×17 poster.

File Submission & Specs
Preferred format: Print-ready PDF with all fonts embedded, images at 300dpi, bleed of 0.125 inches on all sides for bleed designs.
We also accept: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop files. Include all linked images and fonts. If your file package exceeds 3MB, use Google Drive to share.
Color: Submit files as CMYK. RGB files will be converted, which may shift colors slightly — especially saturated blues and greens.
